DIY Coconut Peppermint Foot Scrub
Winter is hitting pretty hard here in Colorado. Besides the below freezing temperatures and the snow that’s taking forever to melt, the weather is taking its toll on my skin.
The fact that I’m pregnant already wreaks havoc with how dry my skin is and now the weather wants to join in on the fun.
The parts of me that are suffering the most are my poor poor feet. I’ve tried everything to keep them soft. I pumice them almost every other day and I make sure they’re moisturized daily. No matter what I’ve done, the dryness still comes back.
Have you ever had dry, scratchy feet rub up against bed sheets? It’s so annoying!
Well, I had to put my foot down (no pun intended) and do my best to solve this problem with my dry feet. This coconut peppermint foot scrub worked wonders! Enjoy!

Coconut Peppermint Foot Scrub
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Sea Salt
- 3 Tbsp. Virgin Coconut Oil the smell is amazing!
- 1 Tbsp. Mint Flakes
Instructions
-
In a microwave safe bowl, heat coconut oil until completely melted. Allow to cool for 2 minutes. In a small mixing bowl, mix all ingredients together until salt is saturated with the melted oil.
-
Allow to stand overnight (this allows the oil to get back to its original state). After standing overnight, stir mixture with a spoon until salt is no longer clumped.
-
(Optional: I used an old almond container for storage for my scrub. I removed the label, painted two coats onto the can and top, and sealed it with Mod Podge so the paint won’t peel off.)
Directions for Using Peppermint Foot Scrub
After soaking feet in warm water, pumice feet until all dry skin is removed. Pat feet dry with towel. Using a circular scrubbing motion, apply diy coconut mint foot scrub to feet.
After 10 minutes, remove the peppermint foot scrub from feet by wiping with a dry towel (do not use soap because this will remove the oil from your feet).
Slide on your most comfortable fluffy socks and relax.

Hi, Amy! Thank you for the feature!
Hi Kendra. This sounds great not only for winter time but for Tropical weather like the Florida Keys feet’s.
Is pretty hot here and most of the outdoors lovers
We live in Sandals and our feet get rough with Sandy Beaches and gravel terrains.
I will be making this and try it on my dry feet.
Q?• Do you know the shelf live?
Q?• Does it has to be refrigerated in order to last?
