Scented DIY Decorative Potpourri Ball

If you ask anybody who has been to my home, then you will know that I love decorative potpourri balls.
They are everywhere in my house. I’ve bought many and made a few.
This diy decorative potpourri ball is very easy to make.
For the cost of them in the store a diy decorative ball comes out much cheaper and you can make several of them with the supplies you buy.
I have a few more types of decorative balls that I’m going to add to my collection.
I have these decorative balls displayed in bowls, on shelves, and even on top of tall candlestick holders.
The bonus is that it smells great! Enjoy!
What You Need to Make a Decorative Potpourri Ball
1- 9” Styrofoam Ball
Essential Oil (Any Scent)
1 Bag of Potpourri
22” Pearl String
Glue Gun w/ Glue Stick
Brown Acrylic Paint
Sponge Brush
Ribbon
Directions
In a medium bowl, pour in all of the potpourri and 2-3 drops essential oil.
Mix until potpourri is completely covered.
Using a preheated glue gun, wrap the pearl string once around the ball.
Let glue completely dry.
There should be string leftover, not attached to the ball.
Using sponge brush, paint the ball and the pearls that are touching the ball.
Let completely dry.
Using glue gun, attach large pieces of potpourri to ball, overlapping some of the pieces.
Once the ball is completely covered, let the glue dry.
Tie the top of the pearl strings with the ribbon.
Display with other decorative balls or hang up by itself.
