How to Paint Baseboards with FrogTape®
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape®. All opinions are 100% mine.
Lately I’ve been in a repair and renew type of mode around the house.
I changed all of the fire alarms, replaced weather strips on my doors, organized my garage, and even cleaned all of the tile grout on my first floor by hand.
Every little thing that I can think of has been taken care of.
I know some people may find this work tiresome, but I like to look at it another way. It’s good exercise and I can be alone because the kids won’t bug me about something or another every couple of minutes.
I just put on my headphones and get to work. Another project I recently tackled was painting the baseboards on my first floor.
If you want to know how to paint baseboards with FrogTape® brand painter’s tape, then I’m going to give you a few tips to make the task painless. Enjoy!
How To Paint Baseboards
Step 1
Remove all dirt and grime from the baseboards. I used soap, hot water, and an old rag.
Let the baseboards completely dry.
Step 2
Apply FrogTape® Multi-Surface with PaintBlock technology to the wall just above the top of the baseboard and to the floor where the baseboard meets the floor.
*Make sure you test before you, per the instructions on the back of the tape container. Also, follow any suggestions given for applying on textured surfaces.
Step 3
Use paint of desired color and paint brush to apply long even strokes to baseboard.
It’s ok if paint gets on the tape because the PaintBlock technology will allow for clean lines and won’t let the paint bleed through.
Step 4
While paint is still wet, remove it from the wall and floor.
Some paint tapes say you have to wait for the paint to dry, but not if you’re using FrogTape® Multi-Surface.
Step 5
Allow paint to dry. Enjoy your beautifully renewed baseboards.

Those tapes are very useful especially when you’re planning to repaint an entire room and not just the baseboards. It’s really nice to have a couple of these in your stock room or toolbox!
Painting can be quite a chore especially when it involves small spaces or very limited ones. Painting the baseboard with these tapes around definitely makes the job easier!
Oh, this is really nice. I haven’t try painting. I will take note of this post.

I’ve never tried frog tape. I have always heard great things, plus my baseboards are in desperate need of a new coat of paint.
You should pick up some when you get ready to do your baseboards! It works great!
I want to repaint my entire down stairs. The last tape we used stuck to the walls and ripped some of the paint off! I will have to give this frog tape a try!
This has no ripping and you can even take it off while the paint is still wet!
I always love this trick. So neat and just amazing. You could create easy lines without the mess.
Yes! That’s why I love it!
