HTVRONT Auto Tumbler Heat Press Review and Frequently Asked Questions
I love making gifts for my family and different items for my store, so I was really excited when I was invited to do an HTVRONT Auto Tumbler Heat Press review.
I already reviewed the HTVRONT Auto Heat Press and knew that if the tumbler heat press is as good as the heat press, then I’d love it too.
HTVRONT Auto Tumbler Heat Press Review
First, I want to talk about how awesome it is to have an automatic press!
I’ve used plenty of heat press machines over the years and always worried about applying enough pressure, but with the HTVRONT Automatic Tumbler Heat Press there isn’t any guesswork.
The layout of this machine is very similar to the HTVRONT Automatic Heat Press machine. There’s a standard power button, a temperature gauge, timer gauge, level adjustment buttons, and the start button.
Along with the HTVRONT Auto Tumbler Heat Press, I was also sent a set of six HTVRONT Sublimation Mugs, heat-resistant tape, and heat-resistant gloves to review.
How much is the HTVRONT Auto Tumbler Heat Press?
At the time this article is written, the heat press is on sale for $189.99, but the regular price is listed at $239.99 for the bundle.
The machine is available in light blue and white. The bundle includes the machine, heat-resistant tape, and the heat-resistant gloves.
Before I get into how the mugs came out after I pressed them, we’re going to talk about the specs. It has a really easy set up.
All I had to do was plug it in, press the power button, and set the temperature and time according to the mugs. All of the adjustments are shown on the LED screen for easy viewing.
The HTVRONT Sublimation Mugs require a temperature of 400° for 120 seconds. The HTVRONT Automatic Heat Press machine’s max temperature is 390°, so I adjusted the press time by adding 20 seconds.
The instruction manual was easy to follow, as well. There’s a quick reference chart that explains the time and temperature settings to use for different types of materials.
While the machine heated up, which only took a few minutes compared to other machines, I got the design ready on the mug.
I used a custom sublimation design for the mug. I secured the design with the heat-resistant tape.
The HTVRONT Tumbler Press has a long heat plate, that allows for the pressing of two mugs at a time, and red padding that gives the machine protection from the heat.
Once the machine heated up, I placed the prepped mug into the heat plate. Once the start button is pressed, the automatic arm closes, applying the correct amount of pressure to the mug.
When the time expires, the automatic arm opens up.
If I needed to stop the machine while the heating area was closing, all I had to do was press any button and the emergency stop would kick in and the heating area would open and reset.
The mugs are very hot when coming out of the heat press, so I made sure to use the heat-resistant glove when removing it from the tumbler press.
Since this is sublimation, the design paper must be removed immediately.
The mug stays hot for a few minutes, so I placed the mug on a placemat to protect my surface.
I was able to press several designs on the mugs. At one point I did get sidetracked and left the machine sitting for awhile before I was able to get back to it.
The HTVRONT Tumbler Heat Press automatically shuts off after not being used for 15 minutes.
Overall, I love the quality and performance of the HTVRONT Auto Tumbler Heat Press.
Here are some pros and cons I found while using the machine.
Pros
- Stable base. No wobbling. The entire machine doesn’t get hot compared to all-metal heat press machines.
- One-click press. With the press of a button, the machine closes without me having to do any manual labor.
- Easy to read LED screen. The brightness of the digits on the display helps with reading it easily.
- Sizing of heat plate. The heat plate allows for me to press items from the size of a mug to a tumbler. I don’t have to change plates out.
- Automatic shutoff. After 15 minutes of not being in use, the HTVRONT Auto Tumbler Press shuts off.
- Memory Mode. The last temperature and time settings I used will be automatically set the next time I use the tumbler heat press.
- Light-weight. The size and weight is very manageable for me to move from one room to another without any issues or asking for help.
Cons
- Max temperature. I wish the temperature would at least go to 400° since that is the temperature HTVRONT Sublimation Mugs suggest.
- Pressure setting. I was worried whether the heat press would apply too much or not enough pressure on some items. It worked perfectly with the mug though.
