DIY Peppermint Candy Ornaments

Here is another quick, easy, and inexpensive Christmas craft for you. It literally costs less than $10 (I’m including tax) to make these ornaments. All you need is a bag of peppermint candy, some ribbon, family pictures, spray sealant, Mod Podge, and a hot oven to make these DIY Peppermint Candy Ornaments. Your family will love making them. Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. In sets of five, place peppermints in a circular pattern on a non-stick cookie sheet or on parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
  2. Place cookie sheet in oven and heat peppermints for 5 minutes. Allow to cool for 30 seconds, then using butter knife, carve hole into top of peppermint for ribbon. Let peppermint completely cool.
  3. Glue the picture to peppermint, but do not cover up the hole.
  4. Spray with sealant. (This step is necessary, so Mod Podge won’t smudge the colors in the peppermint) Let completely dry.
  5. Mod Podge the front and back of the peppermint, including the picture. Allow to completely dry.
  6. Thread decorative ribbon through the hole and hang on tree.
