Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower Bites


For the Batter

  • 1 Medium Head of Cauliflower Chopped
  • ½ Cup Milk I used almond milk
  • ¾ Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ¼ Cup Cornmeal
  • 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • ½ Tsp. Black Pepper
  • ½ Tsp. Smoked Paprika

For the Sauce

  • ½ Cup Hot Sauce
  • ¼ Cup Butter Melted (I used vegan butter)



  1. In a medium bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Set aside. In a medium bowl, pour milk over cauliflower. Tightly place lid on bowl and shake bowl until cauliflower is completely covered with milk. Place the cauliflower into the bowl with the flour mixture. Gently toss the cauliflower in the mixture until it’s fully coated. Dip cauliflower into milk again and toss into flour mixture a second time if you want a double coat of batter.
  2. Over low to medium heat, in about 2 inches of oil, cook battered cauliflower until golden-brown. Remove from heat and set aside in a medium bowl.
  3. In a small bowl, mix hot sauce and butter until fully combined. Pour sauce over cauliflower. Tightly place the lid on the bowl and gently shake until the cauliflower is fully coated. Serve the Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower Bites with your favorite dipping sauces.
