Oven Roasted Candied Pecans


  • ½ Lb. Pecan Halves
  • 1 Egg White
  • ½ Tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar Packed
  • ½ Tbsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ Tsp. Nutmeg


  1. Preheat oven to 225°. Put egg whites, extract, and pecans in a medium bowl with an airtight lid. Place the lid on the bowl and shake the bowl until the pecans are full coated with the egg white mixture. Set aside. In a small bowl, mix, both sugars, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour the sugar mixture into the bowl with the pecan mixture. Place the lid back on the bowl and shake until the pecans are fully coated with the sugar mixture.
  2. Place the sugar coated pecans in a single layer on a cookie sheet lined with foil. Bake the pecans in the oven for 45 minutes. Allow to cool before serving our eating these tasty oven roasted pecans yourself.
