Fall Events in Daytona Beach
When I think of autumn, I very rarely think about vacation time or quick getaways with my family. For some reason, I never thought about all of the events happening in the fall. I’ve recently discovered all of the fall events in Daytona Beach this year.
With nice temperatures throughout the year, we’re planning our next family Fall Beach Escape in Daytona Beach. The music festivals, art exhibits, wine tastings, and food truck events will definitely keep us entertained for days. There’s always something happening that everyone in my family will enjoy.
Also, there are a lot of kid-friendly attractions to choose from for some Warm Holiday Fun!
Daytona Fall Events
October brings out the scarer (is that even a word?) in all of us, but I like to get scared as well. Daytona Beach will not fail me.
The 40th Annual Haunted House is held from October 18th until the 27th. Admission is only $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 years and under. It’s affordable and your family will enjoy this year’s theme of Beyond Stranger Things.
If I want something to do without my kiddos, the there’s a Halloween costume party at Racing’s North Turn Beach Bar & Grille that’s absolutely free for patrons 21 years and older.
Scary events aside, I also plan to visit some of the most historical sites in Daytona Beach. The Mary McLeod Bethune Home is at the top of my list. The house was built in 1904 and civil rights activist Dr. Mary McLeod resided there until her death in 1955. The tours are given Monday through Friday from 10 am until 3 pm.
And guess what? They’re free!
Lilian Place is the oldest house on the beachside of Daytona Beach and it was built in 1884. There’s no way I’m going to miss this Victorian house museum right on the beach!
My family loves going to as many festivals as we can. Maybe it’s the music, food, or atmosphere but we attend them a few times a month. Daytona Beach has some great festivals during the fall and holiday season.
The Halifax Arts Festival is from November 3rd through the 4th and works from over 200 artists will be on display. The Greek Festival is from November 8th through the 11th and admission is free!
Another event I’d love to attend is the Riverfest Seafood Festival. My babies and I are crazy about seafood and any place that offers free admission to get us some, you can definitely bet that we’ll be there.
All of the events that we’re planning to attend are very affordable and most are family-friendly (save the Halloween costume contest and I may have to check out Wine Down Wednesday at Cinematique Theater).
Have you considered Daytona Beach for your next fall getaway getaway or holiday vacation?
There’s plenty to do and to see, on top of hanging out on the beach by the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. If you want to start planning your Daytona Beach stay, make sure you check out the Weekday Getaway Deals and the calendar of events.
