Cricut EasyPress 2 Review

This time of year I’m usually well into my holiday shopping. I don’t like waiting until the last minute and I definitely don’t like how busy stores are the closer it gets to the holidays. To avoid some of the hustle and bustle that’s already happening, I’ve decided to make a lot of gifts that I’m giving out this year. I really want the gifts to be special, so I’m personalizing everything.

You already know that I’m going to use my new Cricut Explore Air 2 that I recently received and had the chance to take for a test run. I have all types of ideas of things I want to make, but I really need to step up mu game when it comes to gifts.

Lucky for me, I received the Cricut EasyPress 2!

Not only can I now cut materials from paper to leather, but now I can heat press them onto bags, shirts, and all kinds of fabric.

I’ve used heat presses before, but they’re bulky and not the most convenient for small, quick projects. Honestly, it’s a hassle for me to lift because of my back. The smaller size of the 6 x 7 inch EasyPress 2 already had me sold on convenience.

The display screen allowed me to see the temperature, in Celsius and Fahrenheit, as well as set the timer for the pressing time. A safety base is include, which gave the Easy Press a place to heat up without damaging my tabletop. An 8 x 10” Cricut EasyPress Mat provided even more tabletop protection from heat and moisture.

For my first project I tried out pressing the iconic Cricut logo onto a canvas bag.

It only took a few minutes to heat up. Compared to the larger heat presses, the EasyPress 2 wins when it comes to heating speed.

Before I get ready to heat press anything, I always make sure to smooth out the area I’m going to use. The EasyPress 2 is light enough for me to use like an iron, but durable enough to provide a smoother pressing surface when compared to my regular iron.

The bag came out great! I do prefer the Cricut EasyPress 2 over any bulky, heavy heat press machine any day. I can’t wait to start on all of those holiday gifts!
