Chicken and Spinach Mezze Penne Creamy Spinach and Chicken Mezze Penne

Pasta is one of my favorite foods! If you’re like me and searching for a meal that combines creamy richness with the wholesome goodness of spinach and tender chicken, look no further than Creamy Spinach Chicken Mezze Penne. This mouthwatering dish is a culinary masterpiece that’s sure to satisfy your cravings and leave you craving for more.

One time I got the bright idea of baking as many pasta dishes as I possibly could. I then separated the pasta into edible portions, placed them in freezer bags, and put the bags in the freezer.

I thought it was ingenious to cook only once that month and microwave whatever we felt like eating for dinner that night. Needless to say, my husband was not very happy by the end of the month because he ate pasta almost every night for a month.

Well, here is another one of my pasta creations. I didn’t cook enough to last for a month this time.

The creamy spinach sauce in this dish is the star of the show. Its velvety texture and indulgent flavor make every bite a comforting experience. Paired with mezze penne pasta, it creates a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that’s truly irresistible.

A Nutrient Boost from Spinach

One of the standout features of spinach mezze penne is the generous inclusion of spinach. This leafy green is not only delicious but also packed with essential nutrients. It adds a vibrant color and a fresh, earthy taste to the dish, making it a balanced choice for those looking to incorporate more greens into their diet.

Tender and Savory Chicken

The addition of tender, cooked chicken takes this pasta dish to the next level. The savory notes of the chicken complement the creaminess of the sauce and provide a satisfying protein source. It’s a winning combination that will have you reaching for seconds.

Substitutions to Suit Your Tastes

While the classic recipe for creamy spinach chicken mezze penne is a culinary masterpiece in itself, there are several substitutions you can make to cater to your dietary preferences or restrictions:

  1. Vegetarian/Vegan Option: Skip the chicken and use plant-based alternatives like tofu or tempeh. Substitute dairy with non-dairy alternatives for a vegan-friendly version.
  2. Gluten-Free: If you need to avoid gluten, opt for gluten-free pasta such as rice or corn pasta.
  3. Low-Carb: For those watching their carbohydrate intake, you can replace the pasta with spiralized zucchini or cauliflower rice for a lower-carb alternative.
  4. Spice It Up: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or some diced jalapeños for a spicy kick if you prefer a bit of heat.

Creamy Spinach Chicken Mezze Penne is a culinary masterpiece that’s as versatile as it is delicious.
