Smooth Shave Moisturizing DIY Leg Scrub
Now that the weather is getting cooler, my skin is getting drier. I hate the tight and itchy feel of having dry skin. It gets even worse when I shave, plus my skin doesn’t feel as smooth as it should. Over the years I’ve tried diy leg scrub after diy leg scrub just to get smoother legs, but nothing really helped.
I was on a mission to get the smoothest, most moisturized legs I could. I now use an exfoliating and moisturizing leg scrub regiment that works great and my legs are perfectly smoothed.
Having smooth legs during the colder weather is always a plus (wink wink). Another plus is that this coconut oil, sugar, and oatmeal scrub mixture smells amazing!
Here the recipe to my moisturizing leg scrub that I use for shaving. Enjoy! (Pictures of the process follow the recipe.)
Exfoliating DIY Leg Scrub
Exfoliating DIY Leg Scrub
Ingredients
- ½ Cup Old Fashioned Oats
- 2 Tbsp. Raw Sugar
- ½ Cup Pure Coconut Oil Solid
- ½ Tsp. Liquid Vitamin E
- Plastic Wrap
- Ice Tray
Instructions
-
Use your hands to crush the oats over a bowl or wide-mouth cup. You don’t want the oats to be too fine, so do not use a food processor. Add the raw sugar to the bowl.
-
Mix together. Add coconut and vitamin E
-
to the bowl. Mash the mixture, until completely mixed. Place a piece of plastic wrap over the ice tray. Make sure that the sides overlap the tray by at least 4 inches on each side. Using a teaspoon, scoop the oatmeal scrub mixture into the ice tray compartments.
-
The mixture does not need to fill the entire compartment. Place the tray in the freezer for 1 hour. Remove the tray from the freezer. The cubes can be stored in a plastic sandwich bag in the refrigerator.
How To Use DIY Leg Scrub
(This can be used in or out of the shower. I prefer to use it out of the shower.)
If Using In The Shower: Shave legs as usual. Remove any soap or shaving cream residue. Gently rub the moisturizing leg scrub cube on your legs. This will exfoliate, as well as moisturize your skin. Rinse legs with warm water. Do not use any soaps or creams. Pat dry with towel.
If Using Out Of The Shower: Shave legs as usual. Remove any soap or shaving cream residue. Place feet on top of a towel. Gently rub legs with the natural leg scrub cube. Wipe off any oatmeal and sugar pieces with damp towel. Do not scrub the oil off.

I like you to use coconut oil in a mixture of ingredients in making it, because coconut oil can moisturize the skin so the skin will not dry after the shaving
