A few months ago my husband and I went to Miami for vacation. I lived in Miami while in college and that’s when I fell in love with Cuban food, but my husband has never had any.
I just had to find a great Cuban restaurant, so he could see what he’s missing. We went to Puerto Sagua in South Beach and it was amazing. He had the Cuban sandwich and I had the roasted chicken. It was so delicious!
I knew that no matter how hard I tried I would never be able to duplicate how good it tasted. I decided instead of roasting the chicken to pop it into my slow cooker. I used the same flavors as the roasted chicken and it came out fantastic. Enjoy!
