IHG Share Forever Rewards Program for the Perfect Staycation
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of IHG Rewards Club for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
Summer is officially here and that means it’s vacation time! We love traveling as much as we can. Before we got married, my husband and I agreed that we would always take a vacation at least once a year with just the two of us. My husband has a busy work schedule, so sometimes we’re not even able to make plans for a quick getaway out of state. That means we have to plan a staycation. Luckily, we live in Miami and it’s known for its beaches! We take trips to the beach every chance we get, but my husband and I haven’t been to the beach, let alone on a staycation (you know, being a tourist in your own city) without the kiddos since we moved here. It’s about time that we plan one and I’ve signed up with the IHG Share Forever Rewards Program for the perfect staycation to help us out! How is signing up for a rewards program going to help us out, you ask? IHG® is a global company with 9 hotel brands (including Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, and Candlewood Suites), over 4,800 hotels and nearly 674,000 rooms in nearly 100 countries around the world. The IHG® Rewards Club Share Forever Summer Promotion allows members to earn points for their stay as well as share additional points with those that matter most! What that means is that we earn points for our staycation and we can share points with friends and family. Since our babies won’t be coming with us, we’ll share the points with whoever is taking care of them while we’re gone. You know we have to spread the love! Here’s the rundown of how the program works:
- Earn 500 Points for your next IHG hotel stay from May 1, 2015 – September 2, 2015.
- Earn another 500 points for that same hotel stay to share with another member! (Or keep the points for yourself!)
- Earn from 68,500 to 115,500 “Share Forever” bonus points plus a maximum 58,500 bonus points to share, or keep.
It’s such a great program that you should sign up (it’s FREE- shareforever.ihg.com) and enjoy the rewards just as much as I will while I’m lounging on the beach drinking a refreshing cocktail and spending some quality time with my hubby. Who will you share your points with? Register Now

That sounds like an awesome way to travel to me. We travel a lot, so I am going to look into this!
Wow, this program sounds fantastic. We love doing staycations in Chicago, but they are nothing like your options in Miami. Happy Summer…enjoy South Beach for me!
I definitely like that I can share my points with my daughter. That would help out if she wanted to take some more trips of her own.
We’ve been meaning to plan a nice stay-cation with summer finally here, perhaps this is the perfect time! 🙂 Thank you for sharing this great article! 🙂
I badly need this one. Everytime I travel, I have a problem with places to stay.
I will definitely check this rewards program. Cool way to spend some time! 🙂
I love the idea of a “staycation!” We live in such a beautiful area that I can’t believe it didn’t occur to me. I’m for sure going to check out this rewards program to see if it’s a good fit for me and my family! – Jerusha, TheDisneyChef.com
A staycation can be every bit as fun as a longer vacay. It’s cheaper too. 😉
I’m already a member of IHG and have enjoyed spending time in many of their hotels. Sounds like you had a great time.
This sounds like a great program. How nice that you can share the points to friends and family.
One reason to love travelling in other places. I always use amazing programs and rewards for it.
I enjoy using the rewards program. It makes it a little more bearable to spend that much on a night or two away from home.
looks like an awesome staycation! You are so lucky that you live in such a beautiful area!
This is awesome information. We travel quite a bit and it would be great to join a rewards program like this!
Great Share! I love to travel, so I am going to check this out! You are soooo lucky to live by warm beaches so you can do stay vacations. We have beautiful scenic beaches in the NW, but too cold for swimming, etc
Best,
Valerie
